Brief Analysis About Brightness, Grey Level and Runway Rate of LED Display
Brightness Identification Level
Brightness identification means the brightness level from blackest to whitest which can be distinguished by human eyes. The grey level of display mentioned before can be very high, 256 even 1024. As the sensitivity to brightness is limited, we can't identify the grey levels completely. Besides, different people have different identification abilities. As for display, the more levels we can identify, the better. Generally,up to level 20 is very good for displays.
Pixel runaway rate
Pixel runaway rate means the proportion of the pixels can't work normally. There are two kinds of situations: blind spot, that's the dark pixel which is supposed to be bright. Another one is constant bright spot, that's the bright spot which is supposed to be dark. A pixel consists of red, green and blue lights, generally, it's called pixel runaway when one of the lights breaks down. In order to be brief, we calculate the pixel runaway rate respectively by red, green and blue light, then take the maximum as the pixel runaway rate of the display.
Grey level
Grey level is so called color gradation or greyscale, that is the light and shade extent. Grey level is the determinant of color display for digitalized display technology. Generally, higher grey level brings more wonderful color which is able to show the wonderful details.
