Design and installation of outdoor LED display
In order to make sure the LED display can work normally in the long run, many problems may happen should be concerned :
1. Outdoor displays are under bad working environment sufering from sunlight, rain, wind and dust which will cause breakdown even fire.
2. Outdoor display may be attacked by thunder and lightning.
3. Big changes in environment temperature. Display generates heat itself when working, if the environment temperature gets high or the heat dissipation is not good, the integrated circuit can't work normally even will be burnt.
4. Outdoor displays have a wide range of audience,so the visual distance should be long enough. Its visual effects will be affected by direct sunlight.
Measurements:
1. Display and the connecting part between display and building should be strictly waterproof. Good drainage measurement for display itself is needed.
2. Lightning-protection devices should be installed for the displays and buildings.
3. Make sure the temperature is -10 ℃～ 40 ℃ by installing ventilation equipment.
4. Choose the integrated circuit chip whose working temperature is -40 ℃～ 80 ℃ in case that it stops working in the cold winter.
5. Choose high brightness LED to increase contrast ratio so that the display can be viewed from long distance under the circumstances of strong ambient light.
6. Display media should be with wide view angle, pure color, 100,000-hour lifetime. Encapsulation material should be endurable and anti-direct sunlight, dustproof, waterproof, anti-high temperature, anti-short circuit.
